Life Groups

Co-ordinator: Pastor Roland Engel
Email: info@cfc.org.na

Life Groups are the foundation of CFC. We want you to feel valued and to know that you have an important role to play in God’s kingdom. Life Groups are where this happens. You connect with other people like you, make lasting friendships, get personal input into your life, study God’s Word together and find your place in God’s kingdom.

No matter what stage of life you are in, we have a Life Group for you.

Young Adults

Pastor: Mckinnon Kriel
Email: mkriel@cfc.org.na

Navigating the transitions from high school to tertiary training and becoming part of the working class is daunting. Add juggling relationships, signing rental or purchase agreements, marriage and children … and BAM! Welcome to adulthood. All this, and more, happens in a mere 10-15 years and suddenly you went from the advice seeker to the one people turn to for advice. Surely navigating the terrains of adulthood is like running a sprint – exhausting. Unless you are well trained.

And that is the heart of our young adult’s ministry – to run along side our young people. To make the sprint a relay – where we build each other up, guide and grow together through the phases that adulthood has to offer. And to equip you to progress the Kingdom of God confidently and boldly in your daily walk.

Come join us to grow in your love and knowledge of God, to foster new friendships and to run the race before you with determination and zeal.

We offer the following services:

1. Care & Support Group

Our Care & Support Group is a safe and confidential space for anyone who needs encouragement, support, or a better understanding of mental health and addiction. Family members, parents, spouses, and friends are also welcome to attend to learn how they can support their loved ones.

Each week we discuss practical topics related to mental health, trauma, addiction, relationships, emotional wellbeing, and recovery. We help participants identify personal challenges while providing practical tools and biblical guidance for healing and growth.

When: Every Thursday

Time: 18:00 – 19:30
Venue: CFC Training Centre

2. Individual Counselling

We provide individual counselling for people who would benefit from one-on-one support. Our counselling aims to help individuals better understand their struggles and begin a journey toward lasting healing and recovery.

3. Hope & Healing Journey

This is a structured 12-week programme consisting of one session per week. Together we explore the impact of trauma, identify underlying root causes of emotional pain, and work through topics such as forgiveness, identity, emotional healing, and restoration from a biblical perspective.

4. Healing Weekends

Throughout the year we host Healing Weekends where participants spend time away from everyday pressures in a peaceful environment. During these weekends we journey through biblical principles of healing and restoration while addressing trauma, grief, emotional wounds, and personal growth.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of where you are on your journey. Whether you are personally struggling, supporting a loved one, or simply want to learn more, we would love to walk alongside you.

Compassion Ministry

Pastor: Wimpie Vernooy
Email: wimpie@cfc.org.na

About the Compassion Ministry of CFC
The Compassion Ministry of Christian Family Centre exists to make Jesus visible in everyday life. Our heart is that every person we serve will see Jesus through our actions, hear Jesus through a message of hope, and experience His love through practical acts of kindness.

We believe that true transformation begins with a spiritual encounter with Christ. From that place of faith, practical care and support naturally flow as an expression of His compassion.

Our mission is to respond to real needs within both the CFC family and the wider community. Together with a committed team of volunteers, we serve through various outreach initiatives, including winter soup drives, visits to orphanages and foster homes, support to retirement villages, and assistance to vulnerable and needy children in rural areas.

Through every project, we aim to bring dignity, hope, and the tangible love of Christ to those facing difficult circumstances.

“For ALL to see Jesus, hear Jesus, and experience His love.”
