Dear CFC Family,
I trust that my letter finds you and your family well, and that wherever you are, you’re having a wonderful time together as family and friends. From Denise, myself, and our entire family, we wish you a prosperous and blessed 2026.
Our theme for this year is “A PASSION FOR PEOPLE”, and with great expectation I’m reminded of the scripture where Jesus looks at the crowds who followed Him to a desolate place where He and the disciples had hoped to rest. As He saw them, the Bible says He had pity on them, “as sheep having no shepherd.” As children of God, we must understand that in the world we live in, there are many desolate places filled with people in need of a Shepherd.
Could it be said of us, as CFC Church, that in 2026 we will choose to look at people entirely differently than before? Will we look at people with the same intention as Jesus did? Will we, through the Holy Spirit, be perceptive and sensitive like Jesus—seeing the crowds with different eyes, a different attitude—and will we be ready to say: “Father, I’m ready to meet and connect with any person at any time.”
Friends, there are only two commandments Jesus speaks of in Matthew 22:40 that hold significant importance: loving God and loving people. He says that on these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets. What does this mean? They are like the first and last links of a chain; all the links in between depend on them. True Christianity begins and ends with love for God and love for man. These are the two grand links that unite God to man, man to his fellow man, and men again to God.
May 2026 be the year where we, as the CFC family, facilitate that LINK between people and God, and between people and people. No matter where anyone may find themselves in this world’s desolate places, they will ALWAYS need a Shepherd—and we are ready to introduce them to the greatest One of all.
May each of us in 2026 simply be the best “me” that we can be, and allow Jesus to be the best Shepherd He can be through you and me, no matter how small our contribution may seem. We bless you with an amazing year ahead, and may you and your family—in every high and every low—be covered under the mighty hand of our God.
I bless you with the scripture in 3 John 1:2, which says:
“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.”
Happy New Year.
